Better Chord Transitions
The "Hub Method"
The Hub Method creates a chord progression which will take you through every possible combination of one specific chord with every other.
Here's how it works:
Select one chord as a "hub" chord. Now, from that chord, change to every other chord and back.
For example:
Dm A Dm C Dm D Dm E Dm G Dm Am Dm Em Dm
In the above example, Dm is used as the "hub" chord. From there, the progression travels to every other Major and minor Open Chord and back (notice how I went to the Major Open Chords in alphabetical order and then the minor Chords? This is only to keep track of the chords so as not to forget any - the order really doesn't matter). For the sake of brevity, only Major and minor chords were used in this example.
Select a different chord as the "hub" each time you use the Hub Method.
Don't forget to keep an eye on the thumb placement and look for and create new Common Fingers when using the Hub Method.
